An Auckland restaurant is being dished up a taste of its own medicine

An Auckland restaurant is being dished up a taste of its own medicine

Coco's Cantina is considering a name change, following backlash after it accused fellow restaurateurs of appropriating the Maori word for king in the name of a new Britomart restaurant.

It's now facing several accusations that its use of cantina is offensively appropriating Latin culture.

Coco's owner says it's having conversations about changing its own name.
