Additional support, including a summer school option for Auckland senior secondary school students

Changes announced today build on bonus NCEA credits previously announced for all students - and are because Auckland students have gone through two-and-a-half more weeks of lockdown than students elsewhere.
Teenagers in the rest of the country will get one bonus credit for every five credits they achieved, but Aucklanders will get one bonus credit for every four earned.
For students who only need a few additional credits to gain an NCEA or University Entrance, the cap on enrolments in Te Kura summer Correspondence School is temporarily lifting from one-thousand students to four-thousand.
