    Kiwis Supercars ace Scott McLaughlin has applied for a travel exemption in an audacious bid to make his IndyCar debut less than a week after the Bathurst 1000


    McLaughlin is determined to fly to the United States and race for Team Penske in Florida in the IndyCar season-finale event.

    He has submitted an application with the Australian government to leave the country.

    McLaughlin says Penske is seriously looking at getting a team together and if they can do it, they will.
