More close and casual contacts of the Les Mills Takapuna Covid-19 case are being tested for the virus

More close and casual contacts of the Les Mills Takapuna Covid-19 case are being tested for the virus

The infected Auckland healthcare worker attended three gym classes last Wednesday and Thursday.

Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says 85 close contacts have been contacted, and are self-isolating.

He says 80 have returned a negative test.

He says 195 casual contacts have also been identified, and 91 tested, all returning negative results.

He says contact numbers will change, as more conversations and calls are made.

Today, New Zealand has another Covid-19 death, taking the country's toll to 25.

One new case of the virus has been detected in MIQ - a woman in her 30s, who arrived from Dubai on September 9.
