Contractors are working to fix a water main break in Mount Maunganui

The break -- on Manganui Road between Tweed Street and Dee Street -- was reported about three-am, and should be fixed by early this afternoon.

Tauranga City Council says water supplies may be affected.

Manganui Road remains open, but traffic can't turn into Dee Street until the repairs are completed.
