Christchurch's port has some good news ... and bad news - for its shareholders

The Lyttelton Port Company had record export shipments of six billion dollars and posted a Covid-19 affected profit of 10 million dollars -- down from about 42 million last year.

But, it recorded an overall loss of 154 million because of a write-down.

CEO Roger Gray says the value of port assets has been readjusted - but it's still a strong long term business.
