    Whanau Ora is working with other Maori agencies to support children with a new initiative.


    Oranga Tamariki, Te Puni Kokiri and ACC have pooled together 42 -million-dollars to offer additional support to around 800 North Island families over a two year period.

    It'll also gather data on the prototype's success.

    Children's Minister Tracey Martin says it's a completely new way of trying to get in earlier to support families before children are taken into state care.
