Forecasts show it could feel like below zero for 50 hours in Invercargill and other parts of Southland -- starting tomorrow night and not easing until Wednesday.
Invercargill is in for a high of 4 degrees on Tuesday -- with snow and sleet expected.
Queenstown will see snow flurries at the start of the week -- with overnight lows down to below four degrees.
Dunedin city could also see snow on Monday and Tuesday -- with a wind chill that feels like four degrees below zero at the warmest point of the day.
