Kevin Walters is vowing to rekindle respect as coach of the Brisbane Broncos

Kevin Walters is vowing to rekindle respect as coach of the Brisbane Broncos

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Queensland mentor and five-time Premiership winner as a player has signed a two-year deal.

Walters says he has to unite the squad and the staff after the club claimed their maiden wooden spoon, and fans pelted their training ground with the utensil.

    That means being yourself.

Walters has relinquished his role as Maroons coach for next month's State of Origin - Bennett's the favourite to replace him in the short term.
