Labour's pledging more than seven billion dollars of infrastructure investment in the South Island

Jacinda Ardern and Grant Robertson have just released the party's policy.
The money will be spread across transport, education, hospitals and water infrastructure.
Ardern says the investment will begin with shovel ready projects that will roll out over the next 18 months.
They include Climate resilience packages in Otago, Southland, West Coast and top of the South.
Inner City development in Invercargill and Queenstown.
And development of a YMCA and Youth Hub for Christchurch
