It will be a year before the End of Life Choice Act comes into force if it's voted in by the public

The referendum on the legislation is binding.
Lawyer Catherine Marks, who worked on the Lecretia Seales case, says the first 12 months will see a regulatory body set up.
She says relevant medical associations will help work on regulations for assisted dying.
Marks says those associations will help develop guidance for doctors putting their names forward to assist.
She says it's important to remember doctors don't have to because of conscientious objection.
