All key markets in the country, apart from Wellington, have recorded a significant increase in domestic guest nights in the third quarter of 2020.
Colliers national director of hotels Dean Humphries says Queenstown hotels are the big winners.
He says domestic demand almost doubled in Queenstown, from the corresponding months in the third quarter.
But August is an exception -- as demand was impacted by Auckland's Level Three lockdown.
