Tyra Banks "doesn't listen" to her 'Dancing With the Stars' critics

The 46-year-old model has been mocked on social media for her hosting of the celebrity Latin and ballroom competition, but she doesn't pay any attention as she's just focused on her job and thinks rising ratings speak for themselves

A source told E! News: "The ratings for 'DWTS' are up and Tyra is not worried about losing or fighting to save her job.

"She loves doing it and the ex ecs love her. She tunes out the noise and doesn't listen to social media critiques."

And it isn't the first time Tyra has faced such criticism, as she also experienced a backlash when fronting 'America's Got Talent' and her eponymous talk show.

The insider added: "The same thing happened when she was on 'AGT'. She knows how to handle haters and she has her whole career! She's a pro."

Last month, Tyra defended herself from viewer criticism when she admitted to having "messed up" her lines.

She said in a TikTok video: "Tonight I hosted the second episode of' 'Dancing With the Stars' and yeah, it wasn't perfect. Yeah, I had a lot of fun but I messed up. I said the wrong words, but I kept going."

Tyra was brought in to the show to replace veteran presenter Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews over the summer to bring in a "new creative direction".

A statement at the time read: "In collaboration with the show's ex ecutive producer/showrunner, Andrew Llinares, Banks will bring her energy and inspiration to the creative refresh the team is planning while honouring the show America loves."
