    Supercars champion elect Scott McLaughlin's feeling confident ahead of this afternoon's Bathurst 1000


    The Kiwi will start from second on the grid, behind fellow Ford driver Cameron Waters.

    McLaughlin says everything's gone to plan so far.



    Fellow kiwi Shane van Gisbergen will start in fifth.

    The race gets underway at 1pm.
