Kristen Bell has "astronomical" levels of patience in lockdown

The 'Frozen' star admits it has been tough being at home all the time with her husband Dax Shepard and their children - Delta, five, and Lincoln, seven - but she has been focusing on her own own mental health

She said: "A lot of mental rituals have changed for me because the level of patience required during a pandemic when your family can't leave the house is astronomical. My mental self care has been reshaped because I realised during COVID that I have to give everyone, including myself, a lot more grace. You're going to see everyone's proclivities when you're spending this much time together, so you gotta make time for the things that calm you down and make you feel good."

And Kristen insists she will never let anyone make her "feel inferior without her consent".

Speaking to Refinery29 about her values, she added: "I live by this mantra, a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt, that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. I say it to myself every morning, and it works throughout the day. I don't have to feel inferior unless I'm consenting. Not for my kids or my husband or my friends or the media or the industry or anything."

Meanwhile, Kristen previously revealed she practises self-care to keep her "sanity intact".

She said: "One thing I’ve learned during this pandemic is that I really like and need to take baths. The only time I am allowed to lock the door in my house is when I’m taking a bath ...

"Self-care is not something to be 'event-ized'. It’s something I need daily to keep my sanity intact. Self-care isn’t leaving the house for a manicure with your girlfriends once a month - that’s just leaving the house for a manicure with your girlfriends once a month."
