Jamie Lynn Spears has teased that a 'Zoey 101' reunion is on the way

The 29-year-old star - who portrayed Zoey Brooks on the hit Nickelodeon show from 2005 to 2008 - has sparked excitement amongst fans after sharing an Instagram teaser, in which she tagged co-stars Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese) and Chris Massey (Michael Barret), as well as singer Chantel Jeffries, who was not part of the original run of the programme

Alongside a video which simply said: "Are you ready?", she wrote: "WE’RE BACK! ARE YOU READY?! @rioflynn @ErinZariah @mattunderwood @ChrisMasseyTMB

    "Oh and hey @chanteljeffries #FollowMeZoey101 #zoey101 (sic)"

Those who Jamie Lynn tagged in the post shared a similar message on their own accounts.

One fan asked why Paul Butcher, who played her on-screen brother Dustin, wasn't tagged in the post and Jamie Lynn explained he was unavailable due to a "prior work engagement".

It is not clear why Victoria Justice (Lola Martinez) and Kristin Herrera (Dana Cruz) were not mentioned on the post either.

Last year, the cast got back together for a sketch as part of the 'All That' reboot, filming a new version of the 'Thelma Stump' skit.

Jamie has previously suggested her 12-year-old daughter Maddie could also feature in a reboot.

She said: "Maybe she could play Zoey when she was younger or something."
