Parents at Cashmere High School parents are being told not to worry, after a student was identified as a close contact of Christchurch's new community Covid case

They work at Sudima Airport Hotel's MIQ where about 240 overseas deep sea fishermen are staying.
The Cashmere High student has tested negative and is isolating at home.
The Canterbury District Health Board says other students don't need to be tested unless they've got Covid-19 symptoms, and no changes are needed regarding planned events at the school.
Cashmere Principal Joe Eccleton says they're supporting the student and their family during their isolation.
