The Government has launched into plans to simplify the District Health Board system

Earlier this year, a Health and Disability review recommended the number of DHBs be reduced, from 20 to between eight and 12.
The Simpson report labelled the current system "complex" and "fragmented".
Newly minted Health Minister Andrew Little says it's his principal task.
Little says his first meeting with an implementation unit is set for today, with a goal to map out a plan within a month, and crack on next year.
