Central Otago's mayor is pledging to fight for fairer electricity prices

Aurora Energy, which is owned by Dunedin City Council, wants 520 million dollars fixing its deteriorating infrastructure.
In a draft decision - the Commerce Commission says Aurora can charge customers in Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes up to 30 dollars estra a month - to recoup costs.
Central Otago District mayor Tim Cadogan says his next port of call will be to discuss fairer pricing methodology with the Electricity Authority.
