Young adults are being drawn into their first puff by outdoor smoking areas in pubs and nightclubs

An Otago University study of 22 people aged 18 to 25 shows they are more likely to experiment with cigarettes in those areas - and they normalise social smoking.
Professor Janet Hoek says the link between alcohol and smoking is already known.
She says non-daily smokers told them they were less likely to smoke if the pleasant smoking areas weren't available.
