A teen caught with livestream footage of the Christchurch terror attacks told police he shared the terrorist's ideology

Daniel John Burrough was 18 when he shared the link to the massacre -- and later indecently assaulted a young girl.

Herald reporter Kurt Bayer says Burrough was also added to the Child Sex Offender Register at today's sentencing.

Burrough was sentenced to six months' community detention -- with 18 months of intensive supervision with special conditions.
