Auckland's pohutukawa vandal has pleaded guilty to illegally cutting down trees

Auckland's pohutukawa vandal has pleaded guilty to illegally cutting down trees

Stuff reports that Alexei Leandios Hodder admitted to intentionally causing an estimate of 40-thousand dollars in damages, when he chopped down eight pohutukawa trees lining Harbourside Drive in Karaka.

Papakura Local Board's Brent Catchpole says residents were disappointed at this senseless action.

He says it's been a shock after an already terrible year.
