The America's Cup boats will get a first real opportunity to gauge where they are at next week when official practice racing gets underway on Auckland's Waitemata Harbour

The America's Cup boats will get a first real opportunity to gauge where they are at next week when official practice racing gets underway on Auckland's Waitemata Harbour

Organised practice racing between teams hasn't been allowed under Cup rules up to now with the first of five official practice days set aside from next Tuesday.

But the challengers have come together on the same courses over the past few weeks but American Magic CEO Terry Hutchinson says they will learn much more next week.
