    Only a small amount of New Zealanders are benefiting from financial advice, during a time when it would be useful


    The Financial Services Council's Money and You research series has found only 18 percent of respondents took financial advice.

    Council chief executive Richard Klipin says there are myths around financial advice, particularly that only the wealthy access it.

    He says getting advice helps people become more confident with their money.
