Almost half of the fulltime staff at Panuku - Auckland Council's development agency - earn more than 100-thousand dollars a year

The numbers are in Panuku's annual report.
The Local Democracy Reporting service reports that the figure of 100 of the agency's 214 employees, is up from the 78 recorded the previous year.
Panuku's acting chief executive David Rankin says the increase in staff earning more than 100 thousand, is a result of needing to ensure it has the best people it can to build on the work it was doing.
The number of full time equivalent employees grew from 203 to 214 in the year to June 30, but Rankin says it's now reducing staff numbers.
