New Zealand cricket captain Kane Williamson's explained where he wants his bowlers to deliver on the third day of the first test against the West Indies in Hamilton

New Zealand cricket captain Kane Williamson's explained where he wants his bowlers to deliver on the third day of the first test against the West Indies in Hamilton

In an extraordinary act of discipline, Williamson restricted himself from playing a full-blooded pull shot until he was on 125 of his eventual highest test score of 251.

He declared the Black Caps innings closed at 519 for seven - the visitors are 49 without loss in reply.

Williamson's offered some advice for his pace attack regarding the pitch.

Williamson could miss some of the remaining three tests for the summer, revealing he and his partner Sarah are expecting to become first-time parents by the end of the month.
