The kaumatua of the Maori All Blacks squad is making his presence felt ahead of tonight's match with Moana Pasifika

36-year-old former All Black Liam Messam hasn't played for the Maori All Blacks since the British and Irish Lions tour of 2017, but earned selection at number eight following a strong Mitre 10 Cup campaign with Waikato.

Captain Ash Dixon says Messam's been instrumental in developing the younger players.

Kick off from Hamilton's at 7.05pm.
