Organisers have announced a number of new rules to do just that, with the six again rule expanded to include off-side infringements.
And teams will now play the ball instead of forming a scrum to restart play when the ball goes over the sideline.
In contrast to the 'speed it up' initiative, the Bunker will now review all tries awarded on the field, with the conversion attempt halted until its given the green light.
The most surprising change? A two-point field goal for efforts taken from behind the 40 metre line.
