A new report reveals the extent our hospitality sector has suffered in the covid-19 pandemic

The Restaurant Association has reviewed sales for the industry this year, and has found revenue plummeted by 40 percent after the nationwide lockdown.
It seems people are turning to takeaway food rather than dining out - with takeaway outlets the only part of the sector to record a positive change in the third quarter of this year -- recording an 8.4 per cent increase in sales.
Restaurant Association Chief Executive Marisa Bidois says it's a mixed bag out there now.
She says some businesses are recovering well, but many others are still experiencing significant losses.
