Experts are waiting for more data to understand what protection Covid-19 vaccines offer

The US has issued its first doses of Pfizer's vaccine this morning -- hours before its coronavirus death toll officially surpassed 300-thousand.
The UK began administering the vaccine last week.
WHO chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan says although the new vaccines have been effective against developing the disease - it's not known yet whether they prevent infection.
She says it's really important everyone who gets the vaccine continues to take precautions.
