The trucking industry says it's pleased vehicles that aren't up to standard are being pulled up

Police have been checking the large number of heavy vehicles ferrying Christmas cargo from Northland to Auckland.
Out of 534 trucks, 96 failed inspections - with 11 having such serious faults they were taken off the road.
Road Transport Forum's Nick Leggett says this is a good reminder for truckies.
He says, as an industry, they want to ensure their operators are compliant and all trucks are up to standard.
