There's a lot health professionals will learn from the Covid-19 vaccine roll out

The Government's pre-ordered 15-million doses, after making agreements with four drug companies - with vaccines expected to be given to the general public from the middle of next year.

There'll also be an inventory management system - so it's accurately known where vaccines are, and the temperature in central storage facilities.

Auckland University vaccinologist, Dr Helen Petousis-Harris , says the roll out will be complex - and will provide new tools and learnings that can be used for other vaccine programmes.
