An extra almost-three billion dollars has been set aside to fund another 18 months of COVID-19 response

The Government's ear marked more than 1.7 billion to keep managed isolation and quarantine running.
COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins says 1.2 billion dollars will go to the health system.
He says about half a billion dollars of that is for testing and lab capability, an expensive but unavoidable cost.
