    Otago University is hosting an on campus graduation parade today


    It follows the arrest of a woman who allegedly made serious threats that forced the cancellation of Otago University and Otago Polytechnic graduations.

    The person who forced the cancellation of ceremonies allegedly wanted to carry out an attack, surpassing the Christchurch mosque shootings.

    A 22-year-old woman appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday, charged with threatening harm to people or property.

    TVNZ reports Police claim she threatened to commit an attack using firearms and explosives, targeting the graduation ceremonies.

    The woman has been granted interim name suppression.
