New research has revealed the astounding number of sugary drinks for sale in New Zealand supermarkets

A study conducted by the University of Auckland has found 80 percent of all drinks on our supermarket shelves are high in sugar.
Researches are now calling for a sugar tax, and say education around consumption isn't enough.
Research fellow, Doctor Sally MacKay, says people should think twice before going for the soft drinks this holiday period.
She says as we go into the barbeque season people should think about drinking tap water instead of sugary drinks, as it's also free and and doesn't come with any packaging.
