A BNZ survey's found the country's wellbeing has declined by only about 0.1 per cent over six months, down from 67.3 per cent.
Respondents reported they're still enjoying life, citing New Zealand's successful virus response and our economic bounce back.
But economist Paul Conway says young people and full-time students are reporting significantly lower wellbeing.
Mr Conway says disruptions to learning, fewer entry-level jobs and an inability to travel are probably key reasons.
