Black Sticks veteran Arun Panchia believes the side can cope with more than 550 international caps worth of experience leaving

The 31-year-old, alongside fellow stalwarts Marcus Child and Cory Bennett, will retire from competitive hockey just seven months out from Tokyo.

Panchia says it's just the nature of sport.

The former captain is the fifth most capped Black Stick in history and won bronze and silver commonwealth games medals.
