    It's Air New Zealand's busiest day - as families fly to see their loved one's in time for Christmas


    The airline's expecting more than 170-thousand customers this week, across two-thousand-589 flights.

    More than 420 of those will operate today, with the most popular route being from Auckland to Christchurch.

    A Christchurch Airport spokesperson says they're well prepared for the rush.

    But they're reminding customers to leave themselves plenty of time on either side, to ensure plans run smoothly.
