An Auckland bottle store's been hit with a 46-thousand-dollar fine for exploiting a migrant worker

The Employment Relations Authority ordered Basra and Khella Limited, trading as Super Liquor Papatoetoe, to pay the penalties - 28-thousand being arrears to the former staff member.
The worker was commuting six days a week from their North Shore home to the store in South Auckland.
Shifts were regularly 12 hours - but they were often not paid in full.
The Authority's determination relied on the worker's testimony and evidence due to inaccurate record keeping by their employer.
