It seems New Zealand hasn't turned the corner on road safety yet

NZTA figures show from January 1 to December 29, 319 Kiwis died in road crashes this year.
That's down from 351 last year, but AA points at the April lockdown being the cause of the drop.
Motoring Affairs General Manager Mike Noon says it's a very sad and disappointing result.
He says we've made no progress in a year they were really hoping to, and none of us can feel proud about the number.
