A wake up call for boaties who skimp on wearing a lifejacket -- and hope to avoid a tragedy

A University of Auckland study on fatal drownings found just four percent were wearing lifejackets.
Study spokesman Dr Jonathon Webber says the study also found it wasn't just swimmers who got into trouble.
He says the majority of fatalities in the study were linked to boat activities like rock fishing -- and many of them would've survived had they been wearing a lifejacket.
