Waterlogged regions in the South Island won't see much relief today

A large low pressure system continues to move slowly over the area, bringing more heavy rain.
Forecaster Tuporo Masters says it's a wet start to the day for both Southland and the West Coast.
He says by the afternoon, showers will flare up over Canterbury with possible thunderstorms from Dunedin through to central Otago.
