Regardless of when or where Kyle Jamieson was bowled, he delivered wickets in the second test win over Pakistan in Christchurch.
That culminated in career-best match figures of 11 for 117 to help New Zealand to top the world rankings for the first time.
All 11 were recognised batsmen.
Captain Kane Williamson says Jamieson's qualities resonated most on the third evening when opening bowler Trent Boult acknowledged the circumstances.
Jamieson now has 36 wickets at a bowling average of 13.27 and a batting average of 56.50 in six victorious tests since debuting in February against India.
