A new report shows Maori and Pacific people are more than twice as likely to be hospitalised for Covid-19 on average

It's prompted a call to officials looking at who should receive the first vaccine shots.
Co-author of the paper, Canterbury University's Michael Plank says Maori and Pacific people are at higher risk - partly because of healthcare inequity.
He says this proves a vaccine strategy based on risk, should also take ethnicity into account.
