An advocacy group believes neglectful parents should face harsher penalties for their children's actions

Four youths, aged between 12 and 14, have been arrested in relation to at least three Auckland robberies after a lengthy early morning chase in a stolen car this morning.
Sensible Sentencing Trust co-leader Darroch Ball says the book should be thrown at the parents.
He says pet owners neglecting their animals are often held to a higher standard than the parents of offending youths.
