A two-way tie at the top after the first round of the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions in Hawaii

A two-way tie at the top after the first round of the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions in Hawaii

Justin Thomas and Harris English have both registered eight-under 65s to be in the lead, two strokes clear.

The chasing group of players tied for third includes former Masters winners Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed.

For the first time in the tournament's history, the field has been expanded beyond those who won events in the 2020 season.

Due to Covid wiping out three months of golf, entries were accepted from all those who made last season's Tour Championship.
