Paloma Faith found it "terrifying" going to hospital for a baby scan

The 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' hitmaker is expecting her second child and admits, even though she has been taking extra precautions amid the coronavirus pandemic, she felt nervous

She wrote on Instagram: "I went to the hospital yesterday for a scan. The placenta is still previa but baby doing ok. What I did notice though is how stretched all the staff are.

"They are exhausted. This 2nd/3rd wave and the new strain everywhere. It’s terrifying. Going into the hospital feels like a risk. I wear a visor and two masks and open every door with an anti-bac wipe. I must look OCD but I think it’s worth it. When I get home from there I put all my clothes in the laundry and spray my coat with antibacterial spray. Wash my hands and face. These are the times we are living in. (sic)"

Meanwhile, Paloma previously revealed she suffered a "temporary postpartum psychotic outburst" and thought someone had sewn her head onto another body.

The 'Picking Up the Pieces' hitmaker - who had an emergency caesarian section after suffering a womb infection and prematurely ruptured waters - said: "On day three, I had a temporary postpartum psychotic outburst where I believed that they sewn my head onto somebody else's body ... I really remember that it is was genuinely real feeling.

"I knew that it sounded crazy and I kept saying, 'I know it sounds crazy and I never would have thought anyone would do this, but they have!'"

Paloma noted that previous difficulties with her pregnancy and birth mean she isn't telling people her due date this time round because she's not convinced things will go as planned

She added: "My last pregnancy went so wrong that even to people who I would trust not to tell anyone, I can't say it. I don't believe that my due date is a real thing. I've got PTSD about it. I'm sort of like, some point in the first quarter of next year but potentially before."
