Changes to the Residential Tenancies Act will draw a line between long-term property investors and developers

From next month, 90-day, 'no cause' evictions aren't allowed.
A landlord who rents old properties at low cost before he develops them has told the Herald - he'll now keep them vacant.
One Roof Commentator Ashley Church says developers have tenants for a short time, before they sell the property - so it's not unreasonable to leave them vacant.
He says investors need the income off the property.
Ashley Church says the changes are a mixed bag..
He likes that tenants can change decor and install fibre broadband - but doesn't think landlords should have to advertise a property's rent.
