One house sold in Auckland's Kingsland suburb went for 970-thousand-dollars -- 210-thousand-dollars above RV.
Ray White agent Tim Hawes says it has been expected to sell because the auction was triggered by an early offer.
He says 11-hundred people have been through his open homes in the few weeks since the Christmas break.
Hawes says buyer activity is intense because there's not much market supply.
