Wellington City Council has partnered with The Wellington Company to create 52 apartments - designed to help essential workers find a warm, dry, affordable home to live in.
Rents have been assessed against the Wellington Housing Affordability Model, and all apartments come with whiteware, free WiFi, bike storage and rubbish disposal.
Rent for a one-bedroom apartment starts at 410-dollars per week, 580-dollars for two-bedrooms, and 750-dollars for three.
Expressions of interest are now open, and applications will be prioritised for those on a low to medium income, and who work in an essential public sector role like teaching or nursing.
